Privacy Policy
Last updated 25 October 2026
This policy explains what personal information Sweet Deal Savvy (Prateek Jangid) collects, why, and what your choices are. We handle it in line with Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
1. What we collect
- Order details: your name, mobile number, email (optional), delivery address and pincode, your order and any note you add.
- Account details if you sign up: email, name, a password (stored only in scrambled form) and saved addresses.
- Payment proof: the UPI transaction ID or screenshot you send. We do not see or store your card, bank or UPI PIN details.
- Browsing information: pages you view, products you look at, searches, what is in your cart, device type (phone or computer) and the site you came from. We do not store your IP address in this record.
- Your feedback: if you answer the short "why are you leaving" question, we keep the answer.
2. Why we use it
- To process, deliver and support your order, and to contact you about it (for example by phone, SMS or WhatsApp).
- To confirm payments and prevent fraud and fake orders.
- To keep your account and saved address working.
- To understand where shoppers get stuck, so we can fix the website and our prices. We use this in aggregate and do not sell it.
3. Who we share it with
- Courier and shipping partner (we use Shiprocket and the couriers it works with): your name, phone, address and pincode, so they can collect and deliver the parcel and calculate delivery charges.
- Our supplier: only what to pack and the order number. We do not give them your name, phone or address.
- Messaging and email providers that send you order updates or codes for us, when we use them.
- Authorities when the law requires it.
We do not sell your personal data.
4. Cookies
We use a small number of cookies that the website needs to work: one that remembers your cart and checkout, one that keeps you signed in, and one that links your page views into a single visit. We do not use advertising cookies. We do not record visits if your browser sends a "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control" signal.
5. Why we are allowed to use it
We use the details you give us for the order or account you asked for, because you gave them to us for that purpose. Where we need your agreement for something optional (offers by email or WhatsApp), we ask separately, it is off unless you tick it, and we keep a dated record of what you agreed to. You can withdraw it at any time as easily as you gave it: Privacy and my data in your account, or send us a request. Withdrawing does not affect orders already placed.
6. How long we keep it
- Order and payment records: as long as the law requires for tax and accounts (generally up to 8 years). After that we delete them.
- Browsing and visit records: about 6 months, then deleted.
- Account details and saved addresses: until you delete your account or ask us to.
- A record of consents and of your privacy requests: at least one year, so we can show what we did.
7. Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can:
- See the data we hold about you and who we share it with. Signed-in customers can download it in one click.
- Correct or complete it. Your saved address and password can be changed in your account.
- Delete it. You can delete your account yourself once your orders are delivered. We must keep sales records for the period the law requires, but they will no longer be linked to an account.
- Withdraw consent you gave, any time.
- Complain to us, and if we do not resolve it, to the Data Protection Board of India.
- Nominate another person to use these rights for you if you die or cannot act.
Use our request form for any of these. We answer within 30 days, and you get a reference number straight away. We may ask you to confirm who you are first.
8. Security and breaches
Passwords are stored scrambled, our pages are served over an encrypted connection, access to order details is limited to our team and repeated login or request attempts are slowed down. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password. If a breach ever affects your personal data, we will tell you what happened, what it may mean for you and what you can do, and we will report it to the Data Protection Board as the law requires.
9. Children
This shop is for adults. If you are under 18, please order with a parent or guardian and do not give us your personal data without their consent. We do not track or advertise to children. If we learn that a child's data was given to us without a parent's or guardian's consent, we will delete it.
10. Contact and grievances
